African Insurance Organisation Annual Report 2025

In October 2025, the African Insurance Organisation (AIO) published its 2025 annual report, produced by Faber Consulting. Discover a year of achievements aligned to the AIO's 2024–2028 strategic plan, together with an interview with the AIO Secretary General on how the AIO is supporting African insurance sector resilience amid heightened global uncertainty. The report also includes insightful, data-driven updates on global and African economic growth and re/insurance trends. This year’s feature article highlights the African insurance sector’s need for stronger data systems: comprehensive, standardised, transparent market data would help to close protection gaps by fostering effective risk management, cost optimisation, investment and innovation. And to help achieve this goal, the report introduces the African Insurance Data Repository (AIDR), an AIO market data standardisation and access project.

Africa Insurance Pulse 2025

Africa has a vast infrastructure deficit and financing gap. Insufficient domestic revenues and high debt servicing costs continue to limit the ability of governments to fund infrastructure from general revenues. Alongside boosting domestic resources, donor inflows and concessional financing, there is an urgent need to further mobilise alternative public and private financing sources. Risk mitigation and multi-stakeholder collaboration are key. This report, which is based on in-depth research by Faber Consulting and a series of interviews with re/insurance executives working in Africa, highlights Africa’s infrastructure needs and the enabling role of insurance, and includes clear stakeholder-specific recommendations to accelerate sustainable infrastructure development in Africa.  

Malaysian Insurance Highlights 2025

Healthcare is a universal right that stands at the centre of wellbeing, livelihoods and economic stability.
